Leave a Legacy
Your Legacy could be the gift of a life time.
Making a will is so important. If you don’t, you have no say over who inherits your property or possessions. The law will decide and the people or charities that you would like to benefit may get nothing. It may also put additional pressure on your family or prove much more costly than if you had arranged your affairs properly before your death.
A legacy is a lasting gift, leaving something for you to be remembered by. In addition you can save inheritance tax by leaving to charity. You can also help charities to continue their caring work by leaving them a gift in your will, which can make a major difference to the lives of some of the most vulnerable people in our city.
Making a will is normally inexpensive, but it is a legal document and needs to be written properly. Your solicitor can give you proper guidance.
Legacies large or small would help Archway maintain, improve and develop vital services for children, young people and adults with learning disabilities.
Recent legacies made it possible to:
- Complete our New Horizons Appeal to build an activity room, sensory environment and extra respite bedroom at our Dyce Respite Unit
- Fund a wheelchair friendly mini bus that ensures all our service remain part of and not isolated from the local community
- Develop new services that improves the level of care we can offer
- Without the boost given by legacies many of our new developments and projects would not have taken place
Please consider leaving a legacy, whether large or small to Archway in your will.
