A special appeal for our Dyce Respite Unit
A BIG THANK YOU - OUR NEW HORIZONS APPEAL IS COMPLETE
In 2007 we launched our New Horizons Appeal to raise £150,000 to build and equip an exciting new facility at our respite unit at Dyce.
We wanted to create a multi purpose activity room and snozelen (sensory environment), an extra respite bedroom and a sensory garden.
With your help we’ve done it!

The activity room is a fantastic multi purpose area with additional sensory equipment and facilities for arts and crafts, games and social activities, films and even the odd disco!! It has proved even more popular than we anticipated.
The snozelen with its range of sensory equipment including bubble tubes, special lighting effects, fibre optics, projectors and other equipment is constantly in use to stimulate or de-stress and communicate with those with profound disabilities.
The extra respite bedroom has enabled several more people and their families to benefit from regular respite breaks.
The sensory garden has been planted with a range of scented, colourful and tactile plants that are being enjoyed by all.
The difference it has made is amazing and we cannot thank you enough. So many people supported us along the way and we would like to thank each and every one of you.
