Berryden Mills is located in the centre of Aberdeen and is close to various shops, supermarkets, banks, cafes etc. The city centre is a short walk or bus journey away.
Berryden Mills is located within a block of flats and occupies the whole of the top floor. Access is via the main staircase or secure coded lift. The top floor is separated into 2 units – permanent care and shared care.
Unit Details – Permanent Care
Our permanent care unit at Berryden Mills is home to 4 adults who have a learning disability.
The accommodation within permanent care comprises of a lounge, dining kitchen, 2 shower rooms / toilets, four bedrooms, staff sleep-in room with en-suite facilities, and staff office.
All residents are involved in the furnishing and decoration of their accommodation.
We aim to provide a safe and secure living environment for all residents.
All residents will be given the opportunity to have a key for their bedroom door.
All wardrobes are lockable, and all residents are provided with a lockable box for personal belongings.
Unit Details – Shared Care
Shared Care is provided at Berryden Mills on a month in month out basis. Our shared care unit provides care for eight service users with four service users using the accommodation at a time. Service users enjoy a 28 night stay at Berryden Mills followed by 29 nights at home.
The accommodation comprises of two, two bedroom flats, each with a lounge, dining kitchen, shower and toilet. Service users are encouraged to be involved in the choice of decoration and furnishing within the flats.
All service users are given the opportunity to have a key for their bedroom door. All wardrobes are lockable and there are lockable boxes available for personal belongings.
All bedrooms are single rooms and one of the bathrooms in the unit is fitted out as a wet room to enable easier access for those who need it.
